Italian designer Mauro Giamboi has revealed his latest creation – the Axiom 40, a 40-metre catamaran concept that redefines onboard luxury with an expansive, design-forward approach. Touted as featuring the “largest, most immersive beach club” in its class, the Axiom 40 is crafted for both private ownership and high-end charter, blending dramatic aesthetics with functional innovation.

“This concept represents a leap forward in yacht design, combining form and function with visionary features rarely seen even in yachts twice her size,” said Giamboi. “All wrapped in a striking, sculptural design that dares to do things differently.”
A Beach Club Like No Other

Approximately one-third of the yacht’s volume is dedicated to the beach club – a cavernous, 120-square-metre space unlike anything else in its category. Complete with fold-down terraces, integrated balconies from the VIP cabins, and a central waterfall feature concealing the twin-hull tunnel, the beach club sets a new benchmark in relaxation and connectivity to the sea.
A glass-bottom infinity pool above allows sunlight to stream down into the space, heightening the immersive oceanic experience. Meanwhile, sliding glass doors and fold-out elements seamlessly link interior and exterior areas, maximizing volume and flow.
Design for Living

The Axiom 40 accommodates up to 10 guests across five cabins. The highlight is a 55-square-metre owner’s suite, which comes complete with a private office, spa-style bathroom, and a terrace featuring its own pool. All remaining guest cabins are located on the lower deck, and each can be configured with private balconies that open directly onto the beach club.
The open-plan main saloon acts as the yacht’s social heart, blending a sophisticated lounge, formal dining area, and bar into a single, free-flowing space. Floor-to-ceiling windows provide panoramic sea views, while direct access to the aft terrace allows guests to enjoy the largest of the three onboard infinity pools.
Entertainment Above and Below

The sundeck is another major highlight, offering a fully equipped bar, a third pool, and an optional open helm station. A dumbwaiter system links the main galley to the upper and sundeck, ensuring discreet and seamless service.
The yacht is also equipped with a hydraulic aft platform capable of carrying a 10-metre tender. When lowered, it sits flush with the waterline, creating an additional lounging area at sea level.
Performance and Innovation
Beneath the sculptural exterior, Axiom 40 is powered by a diesel-electric propulsion system that promises a top speed of 15-16 knots and a range of approximately 3,500 nautical miles. With a beam of 13.4 metres and a volume between 470 and 490GT, it delivers the spatial benefits of a 60-metre monohull while retaining the efficiency, stability, and shallow draft of a multihull platform.
“This catamaran offers the volumes, features, and lifestyle of a 60-metre monohull, all while maintaining the unmatched efficiency, stability and shallow draught advantages of a multihull,” Giamboi concluded.
