Damen Yachting has launched the first 60-metre Xplorer 60 Ice-Class yacht from its Antalya, Turkey, facilities. The explorer yacht, built on spec, is now entering its final outfitting phase, including commissioning and sea trials, with delivery expected in June 2025.
Previously known as the SeaXplorer 60, the vessel features exterior design by Azure Yacht Design and naval architecture by Damen Yachting. The interiors, crafted by H2 Yacht Design, blend luxury with rugged capability. Inspired by successful predecessors like the 58.3-metre Pink Shadow and 76.9-metre La Datcha, the Xplorer 60 builds upon Damen’s reputation for delivering high-performance expedition yachts.
Explorer Meets Superyacht Luxury
The 1,160GT yacht accommodates up to 12 guests and 16 crew, offering an immersive expedition experience. A standout feature is the observation lounge with direct access to the exterior foredeck, allowing guests to witness breathtaking landscapes, from the Mediterranean to the polar frontiers. Enhancing this experience further, a crow’s nest provides a 360-degree vantage point, while a fully certified helideck supports seamless aerial exploration.
Aside from its explorer-ready capabilities, the Xplorer 60 includes top-tier superyacht luxuries. The bridge deck aft is home to a spa area and full-size whirlpool, while the main deck aft accommodates a limo tender, crew tender, and jet skis, ensuring adventure-ready versatility.
