Italian shipyard Tankoa Yachts has officially launched Rose, the first 55-metre hull in its T55 Sportiva range, marking a bold new chapter for the Genoa-based yard. The technical launch took place at Tankoa’s facilities in Genoa and sets the stage for the yacht’s highly anticipated world debut at the 2025 Monaco Yacht Show.
A Sleek New Vision of Sporty Elegance
Rose is a striking addition to the Tankoa fleet, showcasing aerodynamic, elongated lines by renowned designer Luca Dini. The vessel’s sleek styling signals a more athletic, contemporary expression of Tankoa’s design DNA — while still holding true to the yard’s refined Italian craftsmanship.
The yacht’s interior design is currently being outfitted under the creative direction of Piero Lissoni of Lissoni & Partners, who promises a fully custom, light-filled, and avant-garde atmosphere.
“Thanks to the Sportiva Line, we’re introducing a new take on contemporary luxury,” said Vincenzo Poerio, CEO of Tankoa Yachts. “Sleeker, sportier, with flowing lines that balance elegance and performance. Rose perfectly embodies this vision.”
Innovative Features: From Sea to Sky
Among the yacht’s standout elements is the Nemo Room – a semi-submerged lounge envisioned as an “immersive” sea-level experience. This innovative space was personally requested by Rose’s owner, described as a young entrepreneur with deep roots in the yachting industry, who was deeply involved throughout the build.
Additional highlights include:
A full-beam beach club with a large swimming pool
Two panoramic Jacuzzis: one on the private owner’s terrace and another on the upper deck bow
Accommodation for 12 guests in six cabins, all tailored for privacy and comfort
The Growing T55 Sportiva Series
Originally announced in 2021, the Sportiva line includes 45-, 55-, and 65-metre models. The sale of Rose was confirmed in February 2022, shortly after the concept’s reveal.
With Rose now launched, Tankoa has confirmed that a second T55 Sportiva is under construction and set to launch in summer 2025, while a third hull is in build on speculation, with delivery available as early as 2027.
Momentum at Tankoa
Rose’s launch follows Tankoa’s appearance at the 2025 Palm Beach International Boat Show, where the yard announced a new 52-metre model — further proof of its rapidly expanding portfolio and commitment to pushing the boundaries of bespoke yachting.
As the countdown to Monaco begins, all eyes will be on Rose — a vessel that not only redefines the sport yacht category, but also reaffirms Tankoa’s place at the forefront of next-generation luxury yacht design.
