Baglietto Launches 43.7m Custom Fast44 Superyacht Speedy Bear

-

Italian shipyard Baglietto has launched its latest custom masterpiece: the 43.7-metre Fast44 motor yacht Speedy Bear. The sleek, aluminium yacht blends timeless lines with modern flair, continuing the legacy of Baglietto’s signature fast series — most notably the 46M Lucky Me.

Design Legacy with a Modern Edge

Designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, with interiors co-created by long-time collaborator Margherita Casprini, Speedy Bear draws heavily from the aesthetic of classic Baglietto fast yachts. Clean, sweeping lines and a powerful profile capture the spirit of yachting heritage — but with contemporary upgrades throughout.

“This is indeed a custom project that exudes classical beauty while also featuring innovative solutions,” said Baglietto CCO Fabio Ermetto. “Speedy Bear reminds me of several historical and revolutionary vessels built by Baglietto — which marked the history of yachting — while also being a brand-new, one-of-a-kind project faithful to Baglietto’s DNA.”

Interior: Comfort Meets Craftsmanship

Inside, the yacht offers a five-cabin layout that comfortably accommodates 10 guests. A main deck master suite sits forward of the spacious saloon with its formal dining and lounge areas. Below deck, the arrangement includes two VIP double cabins and two twin cabins, each with an additional pullman berth — a thoughtful setup for versatile guest accommodation.

Outdoor Living, Reinvented

Speedy Bear’s outdoor design is equally focused on lifestyle and luxury. A pair of fold-down balconies at the stern frame the yacht’s pool area, creating an expansive sunbathing lounge. The aft garage door doubles as a swim platform, seamlessly connecting guests to the sea and the beach club area tucked inside.

Performance That Lives Up to Its Name

Powered by twin MTU engines, Speedy Bear delivers both power and agility, with a cruising speed of 23 knots and a top speed of 27 knots — befitting her name and her fast heritage.

What’s Next for Baglietto

Baglietto currently has 18 projects in progress between its La Spezia and Carrara shipyards. Among the upcoming highlights is a 54-metre model, also designed in collaboration with Paszkowski, with a delivery date set for 2027.

With Speedy Bear, Baglietto continues to blend heritage craftsmanship with innovative customization, pushing the boundaries of fast motor yacht design while staying true to its roots.
