Mangusta Yachts, a brand of Overmarine, has launched the fourth unit in its Oceano 44 series at its shipyard in Viareggio, Italy. Built in steel and aluminum, this model is designed as a “modern floating loft” and serves as the spiritual successor to the slightly smaller Mangusta Oceano 43.
The yacht’s strong, classic lines are the work of Italian designer Alberto Mancini, featuring broad glazing and semi-transparent aft bulwarks that enhance connectivity with the surrounding environment. This particular unit boasts a striking, moody exterior, setting it apart from sisterships such as The Great Escape and Eva4Eva.
Bespoke Interiors and Seamless Design
Interiors are fully custom—a hallmark of the Oceano 44 series—with this unit designed in collaboration with Gianluca Sist of H2 Design Studio. Accommodation comprises four guest cabins and a master suite with a private ocean view. A consistent color scheme and choice of materials throughout the yacht reinforce a sense of “exclusivity” and “design uniformity.”
Maximized Outdoor Living Spaces
The Mangusta Oceano 44 is designed to maximize life at sea, featuring a spacious 104-square-meter sundeck and a central beach area. The beach club includes an unfolding transom and side terraces, providing stunning 180-degree views. Other standout features include two infinity pools, one on the sundeck and another on the foredeck. The foredeck pool, known as “The Island,” is accessible via a teak gangway and is surrounded by a lounging area integrated into the water.
Performance and Mediterranean Cruising
The yacht achieves a maximum speed of 15.5 knots and a cruising speed of 11 knots, with zero-speed electric stabilizers ensuring comfort both underway and at anchor. The owner, based in Europe, plans to utilize the yacht for extensive Mediterranean cruising.
Initially revealed during a virtual press conference in 2021, the Mangusta Oceano 44 continues to redefine luxury and innovation in the superyacht sector.
