Eco-Conscious Adventure: Cantiere delle Marche Launches Flexplorer 146 Yacht “Nasiba”

34

Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has officially launched Nasiba, the third hull in its innovative 44.3-metre Flexplorer 146 series. Designed for young, adventure-driven owners, Nasiba blends rugged explorer capabilities with refined design and a deep commitment to sustainability.

A Bold Yet Green Vision

With an exterior crafted by Sergio Cutolo of Hydro Tec and interiors by the acclaimed Winch Design studio, Nasiba takes after her trailblazing sistership Maverick, but with a personalized twist. From the wheelhouse to the crow’s nest, she exudes explorer elegance — built for global cruising without sacrificing comfort or eco-conscious values.

“She’s a bold yet refined interpretation of what the modern explorer yacht can be,” said CDM CEO Vasco Buonpensiere.

The owners were highly involved in the process, demanding not only global range and high function but a yacht that reflects their health- and environment-focused lifestyle. With technical assistance from WSuperyachts and Winch Design, Nasiba was carefully engineered to include sustainable materials, low-VOC finishes, and wellness-focused spaces like an infrared sauna and a cold plunge pool.

Sustainable from Bow to Stern

Natural tones and organic textures dominate the interiors. Materials include:

  • Reclaimed seashell composite
  • Recycled fishing net carpets
  • Palm leather furnishings
  • Woven grass and Thames wood
  • Preserved moss “green wall” installations
The interior outfitting contractor has also been carefully selected based on its carbon-neutral business model

This attention to detail extends to the outfitting contractor, selected specifically for its carbon-neutral business practices.

Custom Comfort for Extended Voyages

Nasiba’s layout prioritizes family living and long-distance travel. She hosts:

  • Six guest cabins, including a master suite on its own deck with a private aft terrace and cold plunge pool
  • Convertible spaces like a guest suite that transforms into a homeschooling room or creative studio
  • Six crew cabins, ensuring full support on global voyages

Her expansive utility deck is a hallmark of the Flexplorer line, housing a 10-metre custom tender, a crew tender, and two Jet Skis — all launched via a 4-tonne A-frame crane that disappears to transform the deck into an open-air lounge and dining area.

Range, Power & Protected Cruising

With twin Caterpillar C32 Acert engines, Nasiba achieves:

  • Top speed: 14 knots
  • Cruising range: 6,500 nautical miles at 10 knots
  • IMO Tier III compliance: enabling cruising in marine sanctuaries like the Galapagos
  • Electro-driven stabilising fins for exceptional comfort at sea

Nasiba is a true evolution of the explorer yacht—resilient, responsible, and ready to take on the most remote destinations while leaving a lighter footprint.
