The Superyacht Cup Palma 2025 Anticipates Added Excitement with Less Than a Month to Go

-

The countdown is on for the Superyacht Cup Palma 2025, Europe’s longest-running superyacht regatta, which is poised to return for its spectacular 29th edition from 25–28 June. With less than a month to go, the regatta promises fresh energy and elegance thanks to a wave of new entries and a stunning new home base at the prestigious Club de Mar-Mallorca, in the heart of Palma.

This year’s relocation to Club de Mar—SYC’s new Venue Partner—sets the stage for an enhanced experience. Competing yachts will be moored stern-to at the newly refurbished marina, placing them right next to the lively Race Village, which will once again serve as the social heart of the event.

On the Bay of Palma, where the racing action unfolds, anticipation is building for the appearance of four Baltic 68 Café Racers—the sleek 20.7m creations of Mallorcan designer Javier Jaudenes. Ganesha, Hormar, Open Season, and Pink Gin Verde will make waves with their unique blend of performance and style.

“The Superyacht Cup Palma has always provided great racing, and we are delighted to see four Café Racers on the course this year—it should be quite a spectacle,” said Henry Hawkins, Executive Vice President at Baltic Yachts, a long-time Friend of the Superyacht Cup.

Adding to the visual and competitive spectacle, Hoek Design will be well represented by a stunning trio: the 42m Vijonara, 38.7m Atalante, and 39m Linnea Aurora, bringing timeless elegance and racing prowess to the regatta.

Returning with high expectations is defending champion Rose, the 24m Wally looking to make history with a third consecutive victory. Her captain, Ben Potter, acknowledged the tough competition ahead:

“The last two years have been a great success for Rose’s owner and crew, but we know we’ll face serious challenges this time. We’re ready to give it our best shot once again.”

Among Rose’s top rivals are the powerful 35m sloop Gelliceaux (making her SYC debut), the 39m Cervo designed by Tripp, and 24m Y Yacht Sveam—each determined to claim top honors.

As the Superyacht Cup Palma embraces its new home, the organisers also reaffirm their appreciation for the continued race management by the Real Club Náutico de Palma, and loyal sponsors including St. Regis Mardavall Mallorca Resort (Preferred Hotel Partner), and Silver Partners: Marinepool, North Sails, Pantaenius, Pendennis, Pinmar Yacht Supply, RSB Rigging Solutions, and Vitters Shipyard.
