From March 5-9, 2025, the prestigious Superyacht Challenge Antigua will once again bring thrilling yacht racing to the iconic Nelson’s Dockyard. This exclusive event, known for its competitive yet friendly atmosphere, attracts some of the world’s finest superyachts for four days of exhilarating pursuit races in the sparkling waters off English Harbour.
An Unmissable Racing Spectacle
The competition sees entrants divided into three classes—Buccaneers, Corsairs, and Privateers—all racing under the ORC Superyacht Rule. A highlight of the challenge is the optional race around Antigua, offering a true test of seamanship and strategy.
Racing with Tradition and Camaraderie
The Superyacht Challenge is as much about camaraderie as it is about competition. Crews will vie for a selection of coveted prizes, including barrels of rum, while the esteemed Gosnell Trophy will be awarded once again to the team that best embodies the “Spirit of the Regatta.” In 2024, this honor went to the classic sailing yacht Adela, recognized for its sportsmanship both on the water and ashore.
Unforgettable Social Events
Beyond the racing, participants and spectators can enjoy a range of lively social events, from beach parties to the grand prize-giving ceremony at Admiral’s Inn. Against the stunning backdrop of Antigua’s historic Nelson’s Dockyard, the event offers a unique blend of world-class sailing and Caribbean hospitality.
With breathtaking racing, legendary celebrations, and the spirit of friendly competition, the Superyacht Challenge Antigua 2025 promises to be another unforgettable chapter in this renowned yachting event.
