The cutting edge of America’s Cup racing in the 1930s, the J Class may have been replaced after just a few campaigns, but may never be replaced as the fan favorite Cup Class.
They weigh 180-tonne and take around 30 crew to race. There are just 9 in existence. Three are originals. Six are replicas built from the original design. Purists love them and it is not hard to understand why.
