SIMENA Sets Sail: ARES Yachts Launches its First 62-Metre Superyacht

A bold new chapter in Turkish yacht building has begun. ARES Yachts, known for its precision engineering and custom shipbuilding, has officially launched SIMENA — a striking, 62-metre, classically inspired sailing superyacht — marking the shipyard’s entry into the 60m+ segment of the global superyacht market.

Crafted with a hybrid steel–carbon composite hull and a commanding ketch rig, SIMENA merges timeless nautical tradition with modern engineering. She is set to make her world debut at the Monaco Yacht Show 2025 (24–27 September), where she will instantly join the ranks of the top 25 longest sailing superyachts in the world.

A Harmony of Heritage and Innovation

• Exteriors: Designed by Taka Yacht Design, SIMENA’s sweeping teak decks, varnished sipo mahogany joinery, and ketch rig recall the golden era of yachting. Her classic profile is both majestic and refined.
• Interiors: Created by Design Unlimited, the interior design features walnut cabinetry, textured leathers, antiqued brass accents, and luxurious marble finishes including Calacatta Oro and Patagonia White.
• Ambiance: Modern features like concealed TV lifts are subtly integrated into a design that honors elegance without compromising technology or comfort.

Bluewater Ready with Hybrid Innovation

Designed to RINA Charter Class C standards, SIMENA is engineered for extended global cruising. Key technical features include:
