The 195-meter (639.9ft) superyacht REV OCEAN, the largest yacht for charter in the world, has officially begun her latest round of sea trials after years of modifications and delays. Departing from Søvik, Norway, on January 27, 2025, this marks a significant milestone in the completion of this revolutionary expedition yacht, which is now expected to be delivered in 2026.
Designed as both a luxury charter vessel and a world-class research yacht, REV OCEAN will be the first-ever Vard-built yacht to enter the charter market, unlocking unparalleled access to remote destinations like Antarctica.

Additionally, she is set to top the rankings in the YB100, the industry’s most accurate measurement of the world’s largest yachts, surpassing:
- The 156-meter (511.10ft) superyacht DILBAR, previously the largest yacht by gross tonnage (15,917GT)
- The 180.65-meter (592.8ft) superyacht AZZAM, which will be bumped to second place in overall length
