Mengi Yay Launches First 35m Atlante Classic Yacht Model, Cabana

-

Turkish shipyard Mengi Yay has successfully launched Cabana, the first hull in the all-new 35-metre Atlante Classic 35 series from Italian brand Atlante Yachts. The milestone took place at Mengi Yay’s facilities in Tuzla, Turkey, with delivery to her experienced Northern European owner now imminent.

This full-displacement explorer yacht is a modern reinterpretation of traditional cruising, combining timeless lines with robust engineering. The Atlante Classic 35 boasts a fully Italian design pedigree: exterior and interior styling by VYD Studio and naval architecture by Arrabito Naval Architects.

“The launch of Cabana marks the culmination of a unique project brought to life through craftsmanship, engineering, and international collaboration,” said Paolo Dose, lead designer at VYD Studio.

Originally developed as a 33-metre concept under 300GT, Cabana evolved during the build process into a 34.5-metre yacht with a volume of 330GT—positioning her as a long-range explorer with a focus on luxury and efficiency.

Seamless Living Spaces & Personal Touches

Cabana accommodates 10 guests across five en suite cabins. The interiors reflect a bright and contemporary aesthetic, with floor-to-ceiling windows, light wood paneling, and soft hues of blue and grey. According to VYD Studio, the interior was shaped with extensive input from the owners, who selected high-end Italian fabrics and materials to add a personalized touch.

Leisure features include a spacious beach club with a fold-down transom, expansive social spaces across three decks, and a hardtop sundeck outfitted with sunpads, a dry bar, and a U-shaped dining area for relaxed al fresco meals.

“With the layout of the Atlante Classic 35, we aimed to achieve a perfect equilibrium within the parameters of length and beam,” Dose explained. “The result is a yacht with impressive volume typically only found in vessels several metres longer.”

Performance & Sustainability

Built with a steel hull and aluminum superstructure, Cabana is powered by twin Volvo Penta engines. She is expected to cruise comfortably at 11 knots with a transoceanic range of over 4,000 nautical miles. Her engines are IMO Tier III compliant, ensuring she meets the latest environmental emission standards.

What’s Next for the Series

Following the launch of Cabana, construction of the second Atlante Classic 35 is already underway, with delivery slated for Q1 2027. The hull is currently listed for sale, offering the next owner a chance to join this growing explorer fleet with customizable options.

With her blend of classic elegance, long-range performance, and modern Italian design, Cabana signals an exciting new chapter for both Atlante Yachts and Mengi Yay.
