Italian shipyard Mangusta Yachts, a brand of Overmarine Group, has confirmed the sale of the first unit in its new Oceano 52 line — a 52-metre motor yacht that will become the new flagship of the yard’s steel and aluminium displacement range. The model marks what the shipyard describes as a “natural yet bold evolution” of its smaller Oceano 39 and 44 series.
Construction of the first Oceano 52 began on speculation earlier this year and has now been purchased by an experienced South American owner, with delivery scheduled for Spring 2027. The yacht’s exterior and interior design come from Alberto Mancini, working closely with Overmarine Group’s Engineering Department. Together, they have developed a fresh layout concept that pushes the limits of comfort and volume within the sub-500GT category.

According to the yard, the Oceano 52 offers “unparalleled volume and space in its segment” while retaining Mangusta’s hallmark clean lines and seamless indoor-outdoor flow. A standout feature is the forward upper deck master suite, which captivated the new owner. The suite features floor-to-ceiling glazing offering 180-degree panoramic views, and opens onto a private terrace with an infinity pool.
Other highlights include a main deck lounge-patio (to be fitted as a fitness area on this unit) and a flexible interior layout. The first hull will feature two VIP cabins on the main deck—one converted into a private office—and four guest cabins on the lower deck, accommodating up to 12 guests.
Mangusta describes the Oceano 52 platform as highly customisable, with 12 possible configurations that allow each yacht to be “a true one-off model.”
“The Mangusta Oceano 52 marks a momentous step in the expansion of our range,” said Stefano Arlunno, President of Mangusta Americas. “Its innovative design and functional solutions redefine onboard living and will make this new model a benchmark in the below-500GT segment.”
The sale was completed in collaboration with Jorge Saca of Maspor Marine International.
Overmarine Group currently has 19 yachts under construction or on order, including the 54-metre Mangusta Gransport 54—its largest project to date, due for delivery in 2026. The yard also celebrated the launch of its fifth Oceano 50 earlier this year in June.
