Italian shipyard Benetti has revealed new details about its 40-metre B.Neos superyacht concept, a model inspired by “the proportions and silence of sailing yachts.” First introduced at the 2025 Cannes Yachting Festival, the yacht embodies a modern, minimalist approach to life at sea.

The concept’s exterior, designed by Malcolm McKeon Yacht Design, is marked by a plumb bow, low-profile superstructure, expansive glazing, and overhanging aft decks. Renderings showcase the balanced proportions typical of a sailing yacht, giving the vessel a sleek yet purposeful silhouette.
The name B.Neos derives from the Greek word “néos,” meaning “new, young, and fresh.” The yacht combines elegant simplicity with hybrid propulsion as standard, reflecting Benetti’s goal of attracting a new generation of owners.
Interiors That Feel Personal
Italian studio FM Architettura, led by Francesca Muzio, created the interiors, which Benetti describes as “personal rather than monumental.” The design favors warm, tactile materials and a lived-in, relaxed approach over rigid formality.
With 296 GT of interior volume, the layout prioritizes connection to nature and people. The main deck features a long aft pool seamlessly flowing into a Sea Atrium – a light-filled 2.4-metre-high space enclosed by floor-to-ceiling glass, reimagining the traditional beach club.
The open, family-style kitchen serves as the social heart of the yacht, allowing intimate, informal meals without crew presence. A sliding glass partition can separate the galley for formal dining when required.
Owner-Focused Upper Deck
Positioning the wheelhouse forward opens the upper deck entirely to the owner. A forward apartment offers 270-degree panoramic views, a feature usually reserved for yachts 60 metres and above. Stairs lead to an observation deck with a large sunpad, creating a private retreat for relaxation and leisure.
Hybrid Propulsion and Efficiency
Hybrid technology is standard on B.Neos, reducing noise, vibrations, and emissions both at anchor and underway. The yacht is powered by twin MAN V8-800 engines, offering multiple modes:
- Zero-emission & hotel mode for silent electric operation
- Diesel-electric & crossover for optimized fuel efficiency
- Boost mode for instant torque and easy maneuvering
The integrated system, combined with a purpose-driven technical ecosystem, reduces energy consumption by 30% compared to conventional yachts of similar size, while eliminating the need for future upgrades and enabling a compact engine room.
Smart Technology and Ownership Experience
The yacht features home automation and ultra-fast connectivity via 5G and Starlink, integrating augmented reality and AI for advanced operational management. Crew can use smart glasses or tablets to access real-time data, while a central hub shares information with the shipyard for remote guidance.
B.Neos is among the first models to join Benetti’s Peace of Mind program, which safeguards long-term value and simplifies ownership. Services include technical support, operational management, crew training, and lifestyle solutions via Yachtique, the Azimut|Benetti interior design division. This culminates in Yacht as a Service (YaaS), a five-year turnkey ownership model combining yacht and services in a single package.
A New Vision of Yachting
“Today’s owners seek a return to what truly matters: essentiality, harmony, and peace of mind,” said Giovanna Vitelli, chair of the Azimut|Benetti Group. “With B.Neos, we rethought the entire ownership experience to remove complexity and bothers. We chose proportion over volume and used technology to eliminate redundancy. The result is a yacht inspired by the intelligence of sailing – sleek, low-profile, and perfectly balanced. Informal in spirit and authentic in its connection to the water, yet unmistakably Benetti in presence and status.”
