Mangusta Delivers Fourth Oceano 44 Superyacht The Great Escape

-

Mangusta Yachts, part of the Overmarine Group, has announced the delivery of the fourth hull in its popular Oceano 44 series. Named The Great Escape, the 44.5-metre superyacht was launched just three months ago from the brand’s Viareggio facility and now joins the Mediterranean charter scene under European ownership.

Constructed in steel and aluminium, The Great Escape continues the design legacy of the Mangusta Oceano 43, with an emphasis on modern, open-plan luxury. Exterior lines were penned by Alberto Mancini, showcasing broad glazing, sleek proportions, and semi-transparent aft bulwarks designed to enhance the yacht’s connection with the sea.

The fully custom interiors, created in collaboration with Gianluca Sist of H2 Design Studio, offer accommodation for ten guests across four guest cabins and a master suite. All rooms are styled in a consistent palette to promote a sense of understated luxury and harmony throughout.

Lifestyle and outdoor living are at the heart of The Great Escape’s layout. Standout features include two infinity pools – one on the sundeck and another on the foredeck, known as “The Island” – as well as a generous 104-square-metre sundeck and a beach club with fold-out terraces for 180-degree sea views.

The model is typically styled in white

Performance-wise, the yacht cruises at 11 knots and reaches a top speed of 15.5 knots. Zero-speed electric stabilisers ensure smooth sailing both underway and at anchor.

With her brooding exterior and design finesse, The Great Escape stands apart from her sisterships and reflects Mangusta’s commitment to bespoke innovation on the water. First unveiled in a virtual press conference in 2021, the Oceano 44 series continues to solidify Mangusta’s place in the steel displacement market.
