KRC Yachting Introduces 36m Opera Superyacht Concept

Turkish shipyard KRC Yachting has revealed a new 36-metre superyacht concept called Opera. The project expands the yard’s KRC series and presents a modern displacement yacht built in steel and aluminium.

Italian designer Gabriele Teruzzi developed both the exterior and interior design in collaboration with the shipyard. The concept reflects a new approach aimed at owners who want a high level of customisation within a well-structured build platform.

Flexible design approach

KRC Yachting describes Opera as a flexible concept rather than a fixed series model. The design allows owners to tailor the yacht to their lifestyle while maintaining engineering efficiency. The current layout prioritises spacious interiors, smooth circulation and strong visual connections between decks.

The exterior design balances clean lines with soft architectural details. Large windows enhance natural light and support a warm, inviting onboard atmosphere.

Outdoor living spaces

A key feature is the glass-fronted dip pool on the aft deck. Sunpads and a generous lounge area surround the pool, while fold-down bulwarks open the space directly to the sea. Curved glass panels slide away to create an open-air dining area, blending interior comfort with an al fresco setting.

The upper deck offers additional indoor and outdoor lounge areas. Above, the sundeck includes a bar, dining space and sun loungers. Forward on the main deck, an elevated hot tub provides another social area with surrounding seating.

The yacht also includes a tender garage for one tender. Owners may convert this space into an interior beach club if preferred.

Accommodation and layout options

Opera accommodates up to 10 guests. The layout includes four guest suites and a generous owner’s suite on the main deck. Alternatively, the upper deck saloon can be configured as the owner’s suite. Crew quarters provide accommodation for seven crew, including the captain, across three twin cabins and a dedicated captain’s cabin.

Performance and specifications

The standard propulsion package features twin MAN 800hp diesel engines, delivering a top speed of 14 knots, a cruising speed of 12 knots, and a range of more than 4,800 nautical miles. Owners can opt for upgraded engines, including twin 1,000hp Caterpillar C18 Acert units or twin 1,200hp MAN engines.

Key specifications include a sub-400GT internal volume, an eight-metre beam, and a draught of 2.45 metres.

According to KRC Yachting, construction and delivery can be completed within 24 months of contract signing.
