Turkish shipyard Bering Yachts has signed the contract for the first unit of its flagship 49.4-metre Bering 165 explorer yacht, marking a major milestone for the growing yard. The sale was completed with Aberton Yachts representing the client, with delivery scheduled for 2029.

The Bering 165 is the largest model in the shipyard’s portfolio, offering 499GT across five decks and a layout designed to feel significantly larger than her length. Exterior styling was developed in collaboration with Valentin Design, with the general arrangement by Aberton Yachts and engineering by Eureka Yachts.

Accommodation includes five guest suites plus a nearly 70-square-metre private owner’s deck, complete with a full-beam master suite, private study, pantry with dumbwaiter service and an aft terrace featuring a Jacuzzi and lounge areas. Additional highlights include a bridge deck with an indoor-outdoor lounge, open-air cinema and firepit, as well as a crow’s nest lookout offering 360-degree panoramic views.

Powered by twin 1,300hp Caterpillar engines, the B165 will cruise at 10 knots with a top speed of 15 knots and a range exceeding 5,000 nautical miles. The yacht is also future-ready, with space reserved for hybrid propulsion and battery systems.

According to the shipyard, discussions for additional hulls are already underway, as Bering Yachts continues an active build schedule across multiple explorer platforms.
