Antonini Navi and Nauta Design unveil 63m “Project Light” superyacht concept

-

Italian shipyard Antonini Navi has unveiled its latest project — a 63.5-metre superyacht concept developed in collaboration with renowned Milan-based studio Nauta Design. Named Project Light 63M, the concept reflects Antonini Navi’s growing focus on the 500GT+ market, responding directly to a “sharp increase in demand” for large, high-volume yachts.

Naval architecture is entrusted to Arrabito Naval Architects, with Giovanni Arrabito personally overseeing the development, while Nauta Design brings its celebrated aesthetic and functional minimalism to the project — having previously contributed to such icons as Lürssen’s 180.6-metre Azzam, 142.1-metre Dragonfly, and the 88.4-metre Feadship Zen.

“We have known Antonini Navi for some time, so when they approached us, we took it with enthusiasm,” said Mario Pedol, co-founder of Nauta Design, during the concept’s presentation in Monaco. “We believe they have a great background of entrepreneurship and they are building up this facility with all the right points and skills in place.”

Design & Architecture

The yacht’s exterior lines are marked by architectural fluidity, with Nauta’s signature emphasis on balanced proportions and uninterrupted visual flow. Glazed and opaque surfaces alternate in harmony, giving Project Light a distinctive, elegant silhouette.

A defining feature is the indoor-outdoor continuity, achieved through open layouts and generous glass surfaces. The beach club and spa can open on three sides, providing direct access to the sea while preserving privacy through carefully designed partitions.

Guest and crew flow have been meticulously studied: service routes are discreetly integrated across all decks, and crew have direct access to guest areas, ensuring smooth operations without intrusion.

Living Spaces

The interior design embodies a “contemporary Mediterranean aesthetic”, combining light-coloured materials, warm tones, and natural textures for a serene, luxurious atmosphere. Built-in elements are balanced by freestanding furniture to create a harmonious, functional environment that can be tailored to each owner’s preferences.

The owner’s apartment and VIP suite both feature private terraces, while the gym occupies a panoramic position with natural light flooding in from three sides and a central skylight.

With a beam of 10.9 metres and a volume of approximately 1,180GT, Project Light 63M promises vast internal spaces, optimized for comfort, elegance, and functionality.

Antonini Navi’s Momentum

The reveal of Project Light follows a strong year for Antonini Navi, with two yachts nearing completion:

  • Seamore 34, the first in the semi-custom steel and aluminium series, and
  • EVO 31, a full-custom motor yacht commissioned by an experienced owner.

As the yard continues expanding its La Spezia facilities and partnerships, Project Light represents Antonini Navi’s commitment to innovation, Italian craftsmanship, and future-focused yacht design.
