Feadship Unveils 76m Etherea: A New Vision of “Elemental” Superyacht Living

-

Feadship has lifted the curtain on its latest superyacht proposal: Etherea, a 75.5-metre ready-to-build concept blending Dutch naval mastery with Italian design refinement. The project is a collaboration between Studio de Voogt, Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, and FM Architettura — the studio behind the interiors of Somnium, Zen and this year’s standout delivery, Stella M.

Conceived around the five classical elements — earth, air, fire, water, and the elusive “ether” believed to bind them all — Etherea presents a profile shaped for all seasons and all seas. A plumb bow, sweeping lines, and extensive structural glazing form a low, sculptural silhouette crafted in steel and aluminium. According to Feadship, she could be delivered in approximately three years.

A Sleeker Evolution of Feadship Design

Building on its previous design studies, Feadship describes Etherea as a “sharper and sleeker expression” of its modern design philosophy. Split-level architecture eliminates the need for a bridge deck while enabling an expansive full sundeck and creating larger, freer internal volumes.

Structural glass is used throughout to draw natural light deep into the yacht. On the owner’s deck, daylight flows from the forward bow lounge through a skylit owner’s suite and into the aft winter garden — a climate-controlled, four-season veranda with sliding windbreak panels.

A Glass-Crafted Beach Club & Elemental Interior Aesthetic

One of Etherea’s signature features is the glass-encased pool, with transparent sides and a glass bottom that floods the beach club with shimmering light. Below, the spa, lounge and bar create a relaxed, almost resort-like space for long stays on board.

Inside, FM Architettura has crafted a palette inspired by the Californian coastline — powder blues, greens, sandy neutrals and organic textures. The goal: interiors that are “grounded yet fluid,” supporting everything from quiet reflection to large gatherings.

The yacht has been imagined as a full-time residence rather than a temporary retreat, merging home-level comfort with the freedom of perpetual travel.

Performance & Specifications

Etherea is proposed with twin Veth POD CR1250i units, delivering:

  • Top speed: 14.5 knots
  • Cruising speed: 12 knots
  • Range: 4,500 nautical miles

Key dimensions:

  • Length: 75.5m
  • Beam: 12.3m
  • Draft: 3.5m

A Concept Ready for Visionary Ownership

Feadship emphasizes that Etherea is a fully viable project, engineered and prepared for a knowledgeable owner seeking a next-generation yacht in this size category. As with all Feadship builds, the yard will guide the owner through the entire journey — from concept refinement to delivery — drawing on its unmatched fleet experience.

Following the 2024 Monaco Yacht Show and Feadship’s 75th anniversary celebrations, Etherea signals the next chapter in the yard’s evolving design language: elemental, luminous, and unmistakably Feadship.
