Italian shipyard Benetti has unveiled its most ambitious addition yet to the acclaimed Oasis series at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival. The Oasis 42M is described as a “natural evolution” of the bestselling Oasis 40M, with the first hull already sold and delivery scheduled for 2027.
Bigger, Smarter, More Social
The new model brings significant updates to the brand’s patented Oasis Deck®, which features unfolding gunwales that transform the aft deck into overwater balconies. The 42M takes it a step further with a massive 8.3-square-metre pool — one of the largest in its category — complete with a retractable enclosure. This allows the aft deck to convert into a seamless 100-square-metre open space for entertaining and lounging.
Design Evolution
British studio RWD returns to refine the exterior design, delivering “softer, pebble-like lines” that maintain the model’s sleek, timeless look. Inside, Bonetti/Kozerski Architecture has opted for natural and alternative materials, creating a minimalist yet warm aesthetic.
The main deck has been completely reimagined:
- The owner’s suite has been moved to the upper deck, now with a private terrace.
- The freed-up space on the main deck is transformed into a customisable wellbeing area – suitable for a gym, spa, or even a cinema.
- A second drop-down terrace can also be added, enhancing the yacht’s connection with the sea.
Expansive Outdoor Living
The 17.3-metre sundeck is now the largest in its size range, boasting a spa pool, bar, lounge, and a panoramic foredeck. Together with the aft deck and sundeck, owners can enjoy three distinct open-air zones to suit any occasion.
Sustainability at the Core
Technically, the Oasis 42M integrates a data-driven engineering package designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions. A Siemens E-Mode hybrid option enables sustainable cruising with no compromise on performance.
Benetti’s Growing Ambitions
The Oasis 42M joins an already packed Benetti order book, with 45 yachts currently under construction or on order. The yard also used Cannes as the platform to unveil the B.Neos, a 40-metre sailing-yacht-inspired motor yacht designed by Malcolm McKeon.
“The Oasis 42M is an evolution, not a revolution,” said Mark Gardner, director of exterior design at RWD. “It’s about softening and refining the lines to create something that feels natural, timeless, and elegant.”
With its focus on space, flexibility, and sustainability, the Oasis 42M sets a new benchmark in the 40-45 metre segment — and represents Benetti’s strongest statement yet about the future of luxury yachting.
