The highly confidential 78-metre Ace 21 has been spotted undertaking sea trials off the coast of Bremen, Germany, marking a major milestone in her construction by renowned German shipyard Lürssen.

First seen earlier this year during her transition between construction halls at Lürssen’s Lemwerder facility, Ace 21 remains shrouded in secrecy. While the design team behind the project has yet to be disclosed, early visuals reveal a sleek, modern silhouette with a plumb bow, five expansive decks, and clean, minimalist lines.
With a reported internal volume of 2,500GT, Ace 21 is constructed from steel and aluminium and is scheduled for delivery in September 2025, according to BOATPro.
The yacht is part of a bustling build schedule at Lürssen, with 10 superyacht projects currently underway. These include headline builds such as the 134.2-metre Project Deep Blue, launched in June, the 114.2-metre Project Cosmos, and the 107-metre explorer Shackleton (formerly Project Icecap).

Lürssen’s reputation for discretion and engineering excellence was further solidified last year with the delivery of the 142.1-metre Dragonfly. That project stunned the industry with its 9,500GT interior, featuring a glass-bottom pool, cinema, spa, and a dedicated water sports centre.
With Ace 21 nearing completion, she promises to add another chapter to Lürssen’s legacy of building some of the world’s most innovative and secretive superyachts.
