The Cyclades Cup 2025 is setting sail once again from 12–15 June, promising four days of thrilling competition, timeless elegance, and wind-powered spectacle. As Greece’s only dedicated superyacht regatta, this exclusive event brings together sailing yachts over 30 metres in length to race through the turquoise waters around Antiparos, against the stunning backdrop of the Cycladic islands and the famously tricky Meltemi winds.
With the regatta fast approaching, here’s a look at some of the coolest yachts confirmed for this year’s race — a fleet of iconic designs, storied builds, and performance legends.
Burrasca
🛠 Builder: Perini Navi
📏 Length: 55.7m | 📆 Year: 2003

Leading the fleet is Burrasca, the first in Perini Navi’s legendary 56M series. Known for her sleek aluminium hull and Ron Holland-optimized performance lines, she set the standard for the ten sisterships that followed. A deep ballasted centerboard adds agility, making her one of the fastest Perinis on the water.
Almyra II

🛠 Builder: Perini Navi
📏 Length: 49.8m | 📆 Year: 2000
Owned by Cyclades Cup co-organiser Ilia Rigas, Almyra II (formerly Felicità West) is a fan-favourite and returning contender. After a meticulous 2021 refit, she’s been dubbed “Hermès meets Ralph Lauren” in her interior style. Second place last year — will 2025 be her winning run?
Fivea
🛠 Builder: Perini Navi
📏 Length: 45m | 📆 Year: 2010

Built for one of Greece’s most distinguished families, Fivea is a refined classic with a twist — her twin-screw propulsion system. Captained by the owner himself, she’s as much a personal passion project as she is a fierce competitor.
La Belle
🛠 Builder: Vitters
📏 Length: 42.9m | 📆 Year: 2002

A veteran of two global circumnavigations, La Belle (formerly African Queen) is a sleek aluminium beauty designed by Dubois Naval Architects. Her low-profile deckhouse and mahogany interiors reflect both power and luxury. Last year, her crew took home the “Crew of Distinction” prize.
Arktos
🛠 Builder: Basimakopouloi
📏 Length: 46.4m | 📆 Year: 2004

A floating tribute to Greek maritime tradition, Arktos channels 19th-century schooner elegance with 21st-century engineering. Her five foresails and nearly 20m bowsprit make her a standout both in aesthetics and in sailing performance.
Alexa of London
🛠 Builder: Gdansk YB
📏 Length: 37.5m | 📆 Year: 1992

An enduring gaff cutter with timeless style, Alexa of London has a powerful sail plan and warm nautical interiors. Designed by Yacht Studio Strawinski, she blends form and function for an unforgettable regatta presence.
Puritan
🛠 Builder: Elco
📏 Length: 36m | 📆 Year: 1931

A legend of the sea, Puritan is a gaff-rigged masterpiece from American builder Elco. As one of the earliest participants in the Classic Yacht Revival, her enduring elegance and history-rich legacy make her a beloved classic among regatta watchers.
The Race Ahead
As the Cyclades Cup 2025 draws near, anticipation is high. From modern marvels to classic legends, the regatta promises a celebration of craftsmanship, sailing heritage, and friendly competition. With Antiparos as the home base and Greece’s winds as the great equalizer, this year’s race could belong to any one of these icons.
Who will claim the crown? Stay tuned.
