Italian yacht builder Riva, part of the Ferretti Group, has marked a new milestone with the launch of its first Riva 54 Metri, Sairu, from its Ancona facilities. At 54 metres, she is the largest project in the brand’s history, though her volume remains under 500GT for streamlined regulatory compliance.

The Riva 54 Metri is the result of a collaboration between Officina Italiana Design, Ferretti Group’s strategic product committee led by Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department. While unmistakably part of the Riva family — with counter-curved windows, cut-out bulwarks, and a light exterior offset by dark glazing — Sairu departs from the previous 50 Metri flagship with softer lines and expanded exterior spaces.
Offering more than 370 square metres of outdoor living, her layout includes a transformer swim platform, an expansive beach club with a five-metre swimming pool, and multiple lounging areas. The bow features two oversized sun sofas that extend the lounge space while concealing parts of the technical area. Additional highlights include a forward sun lounge, two al fresco dining zones on the bridge and sundeck, and a lift serving the lower, main, and upper decks.
Accommodation is arranged across four guest cabins and a “majestic” master suite forward on the main deck, with quarters for 11 crew, including the captain. Constructed entirely in aluminium, Sairu achieves a top speed of 18 knots.

The sale was completed in partnership with Alain Maaraoui of Sea Pros Yachts, Riva’s exclusive dealer in Kuwait.
“Now every yachting enthusiast and Riva fan has a new boat to dream about,” said Ferretti Group CEO Alberto Galassi. “She is a masterpiece of style that will turn heads in every marina and on every stretch of water on the planet. I’d like to congratulate everyone who worked on this extraordinary yacht that so magnificently celebrates the visionary genius of Carlo Riva.”
Riva currently has 14 superyacht projects on order or under construction. The Riva 54 Metri series will remain the brand’s flagship until 2028, when a 70-metre hybrid project designed by Officina Italiana Design is expected to debut.
