Numarine Unveils the 40MXP: A 40-Metre Mediterranean Explorer Superyacht

26

Numarine, the acclaimed builder of efficient explorer yachts, has revealed new details of its 40MXP, the 40-metre flagship of its successful XP Series. Following its highly praised launch in July, the shipyard currently has several additional units under construction, with two scheduled for delivery to their owners in the coming year.

Designed with the Mediterranean lifestyle in mind, the ‘MXP’—short for Mediterranean Explorer—reflects the region’s characteristic social, open-air living. The 40MXP builds on the DNA of the 37XP, offering robust ocean-going capabilities while placing even greater emphasis on comfort and lifestyle.

Refined Design Meets Explorer Functionality

With naval architecture by Umberto Tagliavini and exterior styling by Can Yalman, the 40MXP blends rugged explorer functionality with elegant Mediterranean aesthetics. The yacht retains signature XP Series features such as a strong vertical bow, purposeful geometry, and expansive windows, but is longer than its predecessor and boasts a more open, inviting aft section.

Enhanced lifestyle elements include a spacious aft deck, an eight-metre full-beam beach club, and an extended hydraulic swim platform. The aft deck, the heart of the yacht, features alfresco dining, a bar and lounge area, and a pool with a glass transom, seamlessly connecting guests to the sea.

Other standout areas include a large flybridge, generous main deck, and a substantial tender deck capable of carrying a 9-metre tender, two full-size jet skis, and additional water toys.

Transatlantic Capabilities

Thanks to an optimized hull design, the 40MXP offers an impressive range of 6,000 nautical miles at 8 knots. Standard propulsion comes from twin MAN 800hp engines, with an optional upgrade to twin MAN 900hp units. Noise and vibration are minimized through advanced insulation and vibration reduction systems developed with Silent Line, ensuring exceptional onboard comfort during long passages.

Personalized Luxury Interiors

Inside, the 40MXP reflects Numarine’s commitment to space, luxury, and customization. The yacht accommodates up to 12 guests across six staterooms, including a full-beam master suite on the main deck and two additional customizable cabins. Interiors are bright, contemporary, and designed to maximize natural light, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere.

Secure, Relaxed, and Adventurous

The 40MXP is designed to make guests feel both secure—thanks to its long-range explorer capabilities—and relaxed, thanks to inviting, open spaces that connect seamlessly with the sea.

Commenting on the yacht’s reception, Ömer Malaz, Chairman at Numarine, said:

“The 40MXP has already been met with enthusiasm from the market, with strong interest from both existing clients and new owners who value its unique position between a rugged explorer and a lifestyle-driven superyacht. It demonstrates our ability to innovate within the explorer category, combining long-range capability with contemporary luxury, all while offering a level of personalization only a boutique shipyard can deliver.”

The 40MXP is the latest example of Numarine pushing boundaries in design, comfort, and functionality, setting a new benchmark for Mediterranean explorer superyachts.
