French shipyard JFA Yachts has launched a custom 50-metre hybrid explorer yacht from its facilities in Concarneau, France, designed for long-range global cruising and family use.

The aluminium yacht, with a composite upper superstructure, features naval architecture and exterior design by Humphreys Yacht Design, delivering reduced weight, a lower centre of gravity and improved efficiency. Built to an owner’s brief prioritising comfort, safety and exploration, the yacht offers exceptional tender and toy capacity supported by three dedicated cranes, including a C-davit for a 9.25-metre tender.

Guest and service areas are carefully separated, with an innovative centreline walkway providing discreet crew access to the engine room. The main deck hosts the galley, saloon and dining area, while the owner’s suite occupies a private deck with lounge, office and Jacuzzi. Four additional guest cabins are located on the lower deck, with interiors by m2atelier.

A hybrid propulsion system, supported by solar panels and high-capacity batteries, enables silent, emission-free operation at anchor and in port. The yacht reaches 20 knots in hybrid boost mode and offers a range of over 5,000 nautical miles at 12 knots.
The project was delivered with A2B Marine Projects representing the owner, working alongside JFA Yachts throughout construction.
