British designer Alexander McDiarmid of Alexander McDiarmid Design has unveiled his latest superyacht concept for Ghost Yachts — the striking 65-metre G212. Developed in the South of France, this concept builds on Ghost Yachts’ decade-long commitment to innovation, sustainability, and high-performance design.

The G212 embodies Ghost Yachts’ philosophy of “Build Lighter, Build Better,” offering a seamless evolution of the G180X model with cutting-edge technology and bespoke customisation for discerning owners. With its sleek aluminium hull and superstructure, complemented by large hull windows stretching nearly the full length of the yacht, the G212 floods its interior spaces with natural light, creating an open and inviting atmosphere.
Designed to accommodate 12 guests and 12 crew members, the layout features five VIP staterooms aft on the lower deck and a spacious full-beam owner’s suite forward of amidships. Operational efficiency and guest privacy are prioritised with a reconfigured crew circulation system and a one-man bridge configuration compliant with the Red Ensign Group Yacht Code.
The main deck saloon offers full-height glazing that opens onto a generous aft deck, perfect for indoor-outdoor living and entertaining. A beach club and wellness area at water level provide luxurious relaxation options, while the accommodation deck features an intimate saloon and dining area with fold-out balconies. The bridge deck adds a private dining and lounging space, and the forward sunken foredeck boasts a motorised canopy, enhancing comfort and versatility.

One of the innovative features of the G212 is the clever storage of a 6.3-metre Castoldi Jet tender beneath the foredeck, accessed by a concealed knuckle crane, blending functionality seamlessly into the yacht’s elegant lines.
Built on a new platform with an updated Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF) by Van Oossanen Naval Architects, the G212 combines aluminium with lightweight carbon fibre-reinforced polymers (CFRP), offering improved thermal and acoustic insulation. Its propulsion system comprises four MTU 16V 2000 M96L engines paired with twin Servogear Ecoflow tunnelled propulsors, enabling a trial speed of 30 knots, a cruising speed of 14 knots, and a range of 4,250 nautical miles.
Ghost Yachts founder Björn Moonen praised the design, stating: “Alexander McDiarmid’s brilliance shines again in the Ghost Yachts G212, seamlessly blending the G180X’s lean, mean and clean ethos with cutting-edge technology and intricate design.”
The G212 stands as a testament to the future of sustainable, high-performance superyachts — offering owners a perfectly balanced vessel where luxury, innovation, and environmental responsibility coexist.
