Heesen’s Largest Steel Yacht Sparta Delivered to Owner

-

Heesen Yachts has officially delivered Sparta, its 67-metre flagship and largest steel yacht to date. Freshly delivered in coordination with Dutch maritime authorities, the 1,200GT custom superyacht is now located in Sanremo, Italy.

Commissioned by an experienced owner, Sparta is the physical embodiment of creative synergy between Heesen, project managers Arcon Yachts, and Winch Design, who were responsible for both the yacht’s striking exterior and elemental-themed interiors.

Bold Design Meets Family Living

With her sporty, low-profile silhouette, Sparta features a reverse bow and a dramatic color palette of Venetian red and metallic grey. But it’s her interiors—each deck inspired by the elements of earth, water, and air—that set her apart.

Winch Design abandoned traditional high-gloss finishes in favor of natural materials and calming hues: light timbers, bronze accents, and soft golds evoke a contemporary sense of serenity and warmth.

The layout centers around two owner’s suites located on the bridge deck, with direct access to al fresco lounging and dining. An additional four cabins on the main deck accommodate up to 12 guests (plus two children), while 15 crew ensure seamless service onboard.

Elemental Details with a Personal Touch

Each guest area offers a thematic experience. The air-inspired 56m² aft master suite is styled in sky-blue tones with mother-of-pearl inlays and a celestial headboard, while the forward 62m² suite is rich in natural light, inviting stargazing from its private deck—complete with an outdoor cinema.

The earth-themed saloon is grounded in tactile materials: palm-leaf-upholstered chairs, a green marble coffee table, and wave-inspired carpet details. A moveable wall between the twin VIP cabins turns two rooms into one—ideal for young families.

Wellness also takes center stage. Sparta’s 65m² spa includes an elliptical whirlpool, sauna, steam room, gym, and beauty treatment area, designed with flowing textures and aquatic tones to immerse guests in tranquility.

Engineering & Experience

Built around Heesen’s proven steel platform and based on the shipyard’s Project Avanti concept, Sparta combines rugged engineering with refined elegance. Powered by twin MTU engines, she delivers a top speed of 16 knots and a transoceanic range of 4,500 nautical miles.

A bespoke limo tender by Tenderworks mirrors the mothership’s curves and is tucked neatly behind gullwing doors on the foredeck. A glass elevator and a sculptural oak staircase by Alex Hull connect all decks for effortless movement.

The yacht also integrates a comprehensive AV/IT suite from Videoworks, controllable via a centralized app.

A Statement of Capability

“This is the fifth project we’ve completed with Heesen, and each time the collaboration becomes more refined,” said Richard Kaye of Arcon Yachts. “Sparta is a culmination of bold vision and precise execution.”

Sara Gioanola of Heesen added: “We are proud to see another yacht from our full custom line delivered. Sparta is a showcase of what can be achieved through deep collaboration and shared commitment to quality.”

With her delivery, Sparta stands as a new high-water mark in Heesen’s steel fleet—an elemental, family-first superyacht ready for global adventures.
