Italian yard Cantiere delle Marche (CDM) has officially delivered the third unit in its 44.3-metre Flexplorer 146 series, named Nasiba. Departing the Ancona facilities, she is now cruising the coast of Montenegro, marking another milestone for CDM’s explorer line.

Commissioned by a health-conscious owner, Nasiba closely follows the design of the first in the series, Maverick, more than her sistership Mat. Both four-deck yachts feature the signature Sergio Cutolo and Hydro Tec exterior, including an extended wheelhouse and panoramic crow’s nest. For this model, Winch Design collaborated with EcoNest Architects, specialists in ecological and wellness-driven design, to ensure every material onboard met sustainability and air-quality standards. The result is an exceptionally high level of indoor air quality and a minimized environmental footprint.
“The delivery of Nasiba marks not only a technical and design achievement but also a meaningful collaboration,” said Vasco Buonpensiere, CDM co-founder and CEO. “The owner’s visionary brief redefines luxury through wellbeing and sustainability.”
Health-Focused, Family-Oriented Lifestyle
The interior layout prioritizes wellness and family life, with dedicated learning and play areas, wellness facilities, and adaptable living spaces. Influenced by Wabi Sabi and biophilic principles, earthy tones, organic textures, and living plant elements create a restorative atmosphere, supporting natural circadian rhythms.
Custom features include:
- Green “living wall” made of preserved moss
- Infra-red sauna and foredeck ice plunge pool
- Wooden flooring with 3D wave patterns mimicking sand underfoot
- Dining area crafted from 250-year-old naturally fallen timber
- Hand-loomed 100% wool carpets from Sardinia
“Design briefs like this push innovation and shift studio philosophies,” said Jim Dixon, Winch Design principal. “This yacht represents a human-centered, environmentally conscious approach for a family exploring the globe.”
Flexible Accommodation and Deck Layout
Nasiba offers six guest cabins and six crew cabins across three decks. The main deck includes two twin cabins and a convertible double cabin that can serve as a homeschooling room or studio.
Her forward-set superstructure allows for a large utility deck carrying a 10-metre custom tender, crew tender, and two Jet Skis, all launched via a four-tonne A-frame crane. Once launched, the area transforms into a versatile lounge, dining, and entertainment space.
Performance, Range, and Eco Features
Powered by twin Caterpillar C32 Acert engines, Nasiba reaches a top speed of 14 knots with a range of 6,500 nautical miles at 10 knots. She is fitted with IMO Tier III-compliant selective catalytic reduction, allowing access to sensitive marine areas, and two pairs of electro-driven stabilizing fins ensure smooth cruising and improved seakeeping.
The interior outfitting contractor was selected based on a carbon-neutral business model, aligning with the owner’s ecological priorities.
A Statement for the Series and the Future
William Yates of Seventy Blue, the broker representing the owner, noted:
“This delivery is the culmination of an original and daring vision. Every detail, from layout to technical systems, reflects the owners’ specific requirements for a safe, comfortable, and adaptable family exploration yacht.”
CDM currently has 14 superyacht projects on order, including three Flexplorer 165 models, solidifying its position as a leader in the expedition and explorer segment.
With Nasiba now at sea, the Flexplorer 146 series continues to redefine luxury yachting through the lens of health, sustainability, and functional family-centered design.
