The 79.2-metre Moonstone has officially rejoined the global superyacht fleet following an ambitious 26-month refit at Damen Yachting’s Vlissingen facility. Previously known as Albatross, the Delta Marine-built yacht has now set sail for London, marking a new chapter under her current ownership.

Originally launched in 2016, Moonstone underwent a comprehensive transformation led by British design studio Harrison Eidsgaard. The refit—carried out under the Amels Refit programme—included a full redesign of both the exterior and interior, alongside significant upgrades to the yacht’s naval architecture.

A standout feature of the rebuild was a structural hull extension. Initially measuring 72.2 metres, Moonstone saw 10 metres removed and 17 metres added, resulting in a sleek, newly optimized 79.2-metre profile.
The extensive redesign introduced a beach club complete with a wellness centre, a winter garden, an expansive pool, and enlarged al fresco areas. Interior enhancements preserved the spirit of François Zuretti’s original design while updating the atmosphere for modern luxury living.

Project manager Daan Langezaal praised the seamless collaboration, saying, “The owner’s team and our specialists worked like clockwork to overcome every challenge.”
Michel Coens, head of Refit & Services at Damen Yachting, emphasized the importance of preserving Moonstone‘s DNA: “This was more than a refit—it was a reimagination of the yacht’s potential. The result is a transformed vessel that maintains her soul while pushing every boundary of comfort and design.”

The yacht now boasts an increased volume of 2,149GT and accommodates 12 guests, two staff members, and 19 crew. With her enhanced platform and revitalized presence, Moonstone is once again ready to turn heads on the high seas.
