The spotlight at this year’s Cannes Yachting Festival (CYF) shines brightly on Gulf Craft, as the UAE-based shipyard accelerates its European strategy with two standout Majesty models: the Majesty 100 Terrace and the acclaimed Majesty 120.

Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft

CYF, running from 9–14 September across Vieux Port and Port Canto, is the largest in-water boat show in Europe and the traditional launchpad for the continent’s yachting season.

Innovation in the Spotlight

Majesty 100 Terrace

Unveiled in concept form just one year ago, the Majesty 100 Terrace is now delivered in the water. Created in collaboration with Phathom Studio, the Netherlands-based design house, the yacht introduces a private owner’s bow terrace to the 30-metre class, an amenity typically reserved for yachts over 42 metres. With fold-down cockpit balconies, full walk-around decks, and five staterooms, the design emphasizes indoor–outdoor Mediterranean living, equally suited for private use and charter.

The Majesty 120, a 37m all-composite tri-deck, complements the debut. With six cabins—unusual in this size category—the yacht offers generous interior volume and remarkable efficiency. It has already earned accolades including “Best Naval Architecture” and the “Eco Award” at the 2023 BOAT International Design & Innovation Awards.

A Broader European Strategy

Speaking at the press conference, Mohammed Hussein Alshaali, Chairman of Gulf Craft, noted:
“Twelve months after unveiling the concept in Cannes, we now present the finished Majesty 100 Terrace. Alongside this, we are advancing new service capabilities, including the Superyacht Service Centre in the UAE, designed as a hub for refit, repair, and lifecycle support. In parallel, our expansion in the Maldives with the Gulf Lagoon maritime hub reflects our vision of global infrastructure growth.”

Erwin Bamps, Group CEO, emphasized Europe’s role in Gulf Craft’s global strategy:
“Cannes is the gateway to the European season and remains the stage where non-European builders prove themselves. Europe has accounted for nearly a quarter of Majesty sales in the last five years. Looking forward, we aim to introduce the Majesty 112 Terrace and launch the Nomad 101 adventure yacht, aligning with Mediterranean lifestyles and demanding sea-keeping standards.”

Beyond Yachts: Infrastructure and Innovation

Alongside its yacht premieres, Gulf Craft is investing in long-term owner support:

  • The Superyacht Service Centre (SYSC) in the UAE, designed as a regional lifecycle and refit hub.
  • The Gulf Lagoon maritime hub in the Maldives, anchoring new manufacturing and service facilities.
  • A new UAE factory dedicated to expanding the SilverCAT power catamaran line, responding to growing global demand.

Looking Ahead

With its dual premiere of the Majesty 100 Terrace and Majesty 120, Gulf Craft demonstrates how an Emirati builder is shaping the European narrative in superyachts. By combining product innovation, award-winning design, and significant service infrastructure, the shipyard is positioning itself as a long-term force in Europe’s competitive market.
