German shipyard Lürssen has revealed its latest masterpiece, the 134.2-metre Project Deep Blue, as the vessel emerges from the shed for the first time at the builder’s Bremen facility. This marks a major milestone for one of the largest private yachts currently in production.
Characterised by powerful flared overhangs, sweeping tapered decks, floor-to-ceiling glazing, and a timeless white hull, Project Deep Blue presents a commanding and elegant profile over five expansive decks. Though the design team remains undisclosed, her lines strongly resemble those of Ahpo (now Lady Jorgia), another iconic Lürssen launch.
With an expected gross tonnage nearing 9,000GT, Deep Blue is among the heaviest vessels to utilise Lürssen’s advanced slipway, which now accommodates significantly larger builds. She is constructed from steel and aluminium and is expected to be launched and delivered before November 2025, according to BOATPro.
This enormous project is one of at least a dozen superyachts currently under construction at Lürssen, alongside the 102.7-metre Project Jassj and the pioneering fuel-cell-powered Project Cosmos.
As anticipation builds, Project Deep Blue stands as a monumental example of German engineering and design excellence — a future icon in the world of luxury yachting.
