After nearly three decades away from the yachting industry, the iconic Italian shipyard Tecnomarine is making a remarkable comeback. Under the leadership of entrepreneur Massimiliano Zilioli, the historic brand has officially resumed operations, unveiling an ambitious lineup of five new aluminum superyachts that will be presented to the industry at the Monaco Yacht Show 2026.
Founded in Viareggio in 1972 by Moreno Maestrelli and the Picchiotti family, Tecnomarine became renowned for its innovative aluminum yacht construction, delivering more than 300 yachts before ceasing operations in the early 2000s following its acquisition by Azimut-Benetti. Now, the legendary name returns with a renewed vision focused on advanced engineering, Italian craftsmanship and bespoke yacht building.
Operations are now based at the Navicelli Canal shipyard in Pisa, where the company will specialize in custom-built aluminum displacement and semi-displacement yachts designed for owners seeking performance, efficiency and extensive personalization.
The new Tecnomarine portfolio includes five models:
- TM33 (33m)
- TM40 (40m)
- TM41 (41m)
- TM45 (45m)
- TM90 (90m concept)
Each yacht has been conceived to offer a high level of customization while maintaining the brand’s signature focus on lightweight aluminum construction.
The first two models, the TM33 and TM40, were developed in collaboration with Michele Dragoni and Dragoni Designlab.
The TM33 is positioned as a sporty fast cruiser, combining sleek aerodynamic lines with generous indoor and outdoor living spaces, while the TM40 is designed for long-range cruising, featuring an efficient aluminum displacement hull, expansive glazing and a strong connection between guests and the surrounding sea.

With the official presentation of the new range scheduled during the Monaco Yacht Show 2026, Tecnomarine’s return marks one of the most significant revivals in recent years, bringing a legendary Italian shipyard back into the spotlight with a modern vision for the future of luxury yacht building.
