Superyacht Challenge Antigua: Racing Where Spirit Matters as Much as Speed

-

The Superyacht Challenge Antigua returns for its 15th edition from 4–8 March 2026, once again transforming Nelson’s Dockyard in Antigua and Barbuda into one of the most distinctive arenas in the superyacht racing calendar.

Remaining proudly non-commercial, the regatta continues to prioritise safe, competitive sailing and a genuine owner-driven experience. Organised in affiliation with the Antigua and Barbuda Sailing Association and sanctioned by the SuperYacht Racing Association, the event is defined by quality racing rather than scale or spectacle.

A Fleet Defined by Character

The 2026 edition brings together ten exceptional sailing superyachts, from majestic classic schooners to cutting-edge performance sloops. While diverse in size, style and design, the fleet is united by a shared Corinthian ethos and a commitment to racing well — and racing fairly.

Tactical Racing in Iconic Waters

Racing unfolds off Antigua’s south coast, with pursuit-format races that reward precision, strategy and seamanship. The programme includes an optional Round Antigua or Part-Island Race, followed by three series races, often culminating in close finishes off the entrance to English Harbour. GPS tracking and laser rangefinders reinforce the regatta’s strong focus on safety.

Beyond the Results

Alongside class prizes, the Gosnell Trophy remains the regatta’s most meaningful accolade, awarded to the yacht that best embodies the Spirit of the Regatta — recognising sportsmanship, teamwork and contribution both afloat and ashore.

Now in its 15th year, Superyacht Challenge Antigua continues to stand apart, offering a rare blend of serious racing, mutual respect and the unmistakable rhythm of Caribbean sailing.
