French yacht designer Arnaud Anseeuw, formerly of Oceanco, has unveiled Project Atom, a striking 105-metre superyacht concept conceived around high-volume living spaces, contemporary architecture and a distinctive connection with the sea.
Inspired by what Anseeuw describes as the “atomic age of the modern world”, Atom is defined by sweeping curves, extensive glazing and dramatic cantilevered decks. At the centre of the design is a spectacular C-shaped arch, which forms a giant aperture in the superstructure and frames panoramic ocean views while creating a dramatic double-height main saloon.
The exterior is designed as a series of interconnected terraces. A large foredeck helipad provides operational flexibility, while the aft section becomes a private resort featuring a swimming pool, sunpads, broad stairways and fold-down platforms providing direct access to the sea.
Inside, Project Atom embraces a sophisticated residential atmosphere. Floor-to-ceiling glazing fills the interiors with natural light, complemented by polished marble, pale timber and softly curved furniture. A dramatic circular staircase connects the interior decks while allowing daylight to flow through the yacht.
The owner’s private sanctuary follows the same design philosophy, combining curved glazing, natural wood and pale stone. Anseeuw also envisions bespoke furniture and a collection of unique artworks throughout the yacht.
Designed for the 100m+ market
Project Atom is envisioned with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, measuring 105 metres with a beam of approximately 16–18 metres and a draft of 4–5 metres. The concept is estimated at around 4,000 GT, with accommodation for 18–22 guests and a crew of 30–40.
Twin diesel engines are projected to deliver a top speed of 20–22 knots, a cruising speed of 15–17 knots, and an estimated range of 6,500–7,500 nautical miles.
The project originally began around a 91-metre Oceanco hull concept, before Anseeuw extended the design to 105 metres, positioning Atom firmly within the increasingly prominent 100-metre-plus superyacht sector.
While Project Atom carries a distinctive visual identity, the concept remains deliberately open to interpretation. Its spaces, materials and technical configuration can ultimately be adapted around the requirements of a future owner.
