The Monaco Yacht Show (MYS) is introducing a new platform dedicated to the creative forces shaping the future of superyacht design with the launch of the Designer Gallery.
Replacing and consolidating the former Yacht Design & Innovation Hub, the new space brings leading yacht designers together on a single, unified platform, creating a more direct connection between designers, owners, industry professionals and visitors.
Bringing designers closer to the superyacht experience
The new format is designed to make yacht design more accessible and engaging. Rather than separating designers into different exhibition areas, the Designer Gallery creates one continuous space where visitors can discover new concepts and meet the people responsible for shaping them.
The initiative reflects the growing importance of design in the superyacht industry, where architecture, naval engineering, interiors, technology and sustainability increasingly come together to define the ownership experience.
Toby Moore, CEO of Informa Prestige, said the objective is to give design the prominence it deserves while bringing designers closer to the superyacht and tender docks in the Dockside area.
From concept to immersive experience
Adjacent to the Designer Gallery, the MYS Immersive Experience by VBH will offer visitors a different way to explore yacht design.
Using interactive 3D technology, guests will be able to virtually step aboard yacht projects and experience designs before they become physical yachts.
The experience will also feature SENSE by VBH, a 360-degree immersive environment combining sound, lighting, atmosphere and scent to recreate elements of the onboard experience.
Together, the two initiatives underline a wider evolution in yacht design: moving beyond traditional drawings and models towards more interactive and experiential ways of presenting a yacht’s concept.

The Designer Gallery will bring together an international group of established studios and naval architecture firms, including Argo Navis, Barracuda Yacht Design, Berret-Racoupeau Yacht Design, Cor D. Rover Design, Dixon Yacht Design, Espen Oeino International, Frers Design, Hoek Design Naval Architects, Hydro Tec, Lateral Naval Architects, Philippe Briand Ltd, Pininfarina, Van Oossanen Naval Architects and VPLP Design.
For the Monaco Yacht Show, the Designer Gallery represents more than a new exhibition format. It positions the creative process itself at the centre of the superyacht conversation.
