Mirazur Capital has acquired a majority stake in Marina Port Vell, one of the Mediterranean’s premier superyacht marinas, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the iconic Barcelona destination.
The Monaco-based alternative investment firm, with additional offices in Madrid and Luxembourg, is pursuing a long-term strategy focused on developing a network of world-class marinas across the Mediterranean. The acquisition strengthens Mirazur Capital’s presence in the premium yachting sector while reinforcing its commitment to operational excellence, sustainability and exceptional customer service.
Despite the ownership change, continuity remains a key priority. The existing management team, led by Ignacio Erroz, will continue to oversee Marina Port Vell’s operations and future development.
Since 2021, Marina Port Vell has invested more than €20 million in a major transformation programme, expanding its capacity for large yachts while enhancing its infrastructure, operational efficiency and environmental standards. Today, the marina offers 73 berths, including a 400-metre superyacht quay—one of the longest in the Mediterranean—and can accommodate yachts of up to 190 metres, making it one of Europe’s leading destinations for the world’s largest superyachts.
Commenting on the transaction, General Manager Ignacio Erroz said the investment recognises the work carried out by the marina’s team over recent years and provides the resources needed to continue its growth while maintaining the highest standards of excellence.
