Marina Port Valencia has reached a major milestone in its ambitious transformation project with the official opening of its inner basin, known as Marina City, further strengthening Valencia’s position as one of the Mediterranean’s most attractive destinations for superyachts.
Located in the most sheltered area of the port, Marina City has been designed to accommodate vessels ranging from 12 to 130 metres in length. The new facilities include premium berthing options, with additional moorings from 15 metres available for sale or rental along the marina’s central pontoon.
The development offers a comprehensive range of services tailored to yacht owners, captains and guests, including 24-hour security, fuel services and dedicated parking facilities, creating a modern and efficient hub for visiting yachts.
The opening of Marina City forms part of a wider redevelopment plan that will transform the waterfront over the coming years. Construction is also scheduled to begin in the neighbouring Marina Norte area, where new office buildings and a restaurant within the historic Panorama building will further enhance the marina’s appeal for both visitors and local residents.
A key element of the project is the creation of a landscaped green corridor designed by GM Paisajistas in collaboration with ERRE Arquitectura. The pedestrian and cycling-friendly route will connect Marina Norte, Marina City and Marina Sur through a continuous waterfront experience enriched with Mediterranean vegetation and public spaces.
According to Marina Port Valencia, the redevelopment aims to reconnect the city with its waterfront while creating a vibrant destination that combines leisure, business and sustainability.
“With this project, Marina Port Valencia will reconnect the city with the waterfront,” the marina stated. “At the same time, it will provide businesses with an unrivalled waterfront environment and establish Marina Port Valencia as a leading national and international destination built on the principles of sustainability.”
As Valencia continues to strengthen its maritime infrastructure and attract larger yachts, the opening of Marina City marks another important step in the evolution of one of Spain’s most dynamic waterfront destinations.
