Mangusta Oceano 52 Continues Its Momentum with Third Sale and 2028 Delivery

-

Italian shipyard Mangusta Yachts, a flagship brand of the Overmarine Group, has confirmed the sale of the third unit in its successful Oceano 52 series. The 52-metre superyacht was sold in collaboration with broker Quentin Bourdeau of Pelagia Yachting, with delivery scheduled for 2028.

The yacht has been acquired by a European owner and repeat Mangusta client, who plans to cruise extensively throughout the Mediterranean following delivery—further reinforcing the brand’s ability to retain loyal owners as they move up in size and ambition.

A Flagship Series Gaining Rapid Traction

The announcement comes only months after Camper & Nicholsons revealed the sale of the second Oceano 52 unit, while the very first hull—originally launched on speculation in early 2025—was sold in October of the same year. With three confirmed sales in quick succession, the Oceano 52 is establishing itself as one of the most compelling propositions in the sub-500GT segment.

Design, Engineering and a New Spatial Philosophy

The Oceano 52 is the result of a close collaboration between Overmarine Group’s in-house engineering team and Monaco-based designer Alberto Mancini. While building on the DNA of the smaller Oceano models, the 52 introduces a distinctive layout philosophy known as “A Deck Above the Rest”, delivering volumes and experiences more commonly associated with yachts in the 60-metre class—all while remaining under 500GT.

Conceived as a highly flexible platform, each Oceano 52 is treated as a true one-off, allowing owners to significantly customise layout and lifestyle features.

A Fully Customised Owner Configuration

For this third unit, the owner selected a bespoke layout on every deck. The main deck will feature two guest cabins positioned forward, while the owner’s suite is configured as a standout highlight: a private master residence with 180-degree panoramic views, direct access to a private terrace, and a signature Mangusta infinity pool.

Additional guest accommodation is located on the lower deck, including a full-beam VIP cabin designed to mirror the comfort and proportions of the main-deck staterooms.

At the stern, a multi-level beach club—spanning nearly nine metres—forms the yacht’s social heart, complete with fold-down terraces and a pool set directly at the waterline, reinforcing the seamless connection between yacht and sea.

Market Confidence Below 500GT

Commenting on the sale, Mangusta Sales Manager Ivan Adzic noted:

“The sale of three Mangusta Oceano 52 units in rapid succession attests to the incredible appeal of an innovative project capable of going beyond the traditional boundaries of the segment below 500GT. This is a yacht that offers owners lifestyle, volumes and content normally found on much larger vessels.”

Broker Quentin Bourdeau added that the owner was drawn by the project’s coherence, where design, engineering and long-range cruising come together in a single, well-balanced platform—supported by what he described as an efficient and collaborative sales process with the Overmarine team.

A Clear Signal to the Superyacht Market

With three sales secured and a growing orderbook extending to 2028, the Mangusta Oceano 52 stands as a strong indicator of continued demand for highly customised, lifestyle-driven superyachts that maximise space, flexibility and onboard experience—without crossing the 500GT threshold.

For Mangusta and the wider market, the message is clear: innovation, owner-centric design and proven brand trust remain decisive drivers in today’s superyacht landscape.
