The 134.2-metre superyacht Deep Blue, built by Lürssen, has departed the yard’s facilities in Bremen, Germany, marking a major milestone as she heads toward delivery. The yacht is currently en route to Poole.

A Highly Anticipated and Secretive Build
Previously known as Project Deep Blue, the yacht has remained largely under wraps throughout her construction, which began in 2022. Her exterior was only revealed at launch in June 2025, generating significant attention within the industry.
The design is characterised by striking blue overhangs, a sloping mast and unconventional lower-deck glazing, creating a bold and contemporary profile. Observers have noted similarities with other modern Lürssen builds, particularly in the tapered forward superstructure.
Features Designed for Scale and Experience
Spanning five decks, Deep Blue offers an extensive array of amenities. Key highlights include:
- Two swimming pools, one featuring a cascading waterfall
- A heli-capable foredeck
- A large waterfront beach club designed for direct connection to the sea
The yacht is estimated to have a volume of around 9,000GT, placing her among the largest superyachts currently under construction.
Engineering and Construction Milestones
Deep Blue is also notable as one of the first projects built using Lürssen’s new heavy-duty slipway, designed to accommodate increasingly large and complex superyacht builds.

Following sea trials in the North Sea in 2025, her departure from the Bremen yard signals the transition into final delivery stages.
Part of a Strong Lürssen Pipeline
The launch and delivery of Deep Blue come as Lürssen continues work on several high-profile projects, including the 102.4-metre Jassj and the innovative fuel-cell-powered Project Cosmos.
With her scale, distinctive design and advanced construction, Deep Blue reinforces Lürssen’s position at the forefront of the global superyacht industry.
