Leapher Yachts’ First 61m Explorer Yacht Horizon II Begins Sea Trials

-

Dutch shipyard Leapher Yachts has reached an important milestone as its first-ever superyacht, the 61-metre explorer Horizon II, begins sea trials off the coast of Vlissingen, the Netherlands.

The flagship of the new NAVIX60 series, Horizon II was launched earlier this year and has been designed as a true long-range explorer. Featuring naval architecture by Van Oossanen Naval Architects and O7 Designers, with exterior and interior styling by Cor D. Rover, the yacht combines expedition capability with luxury living.

Built with a polar-class steel hull, Horizon II offers up to 40 days of autonomy and a range of 9,000 nautical miles. On board, she accommodates 14 guests and features a beach club, swimming pool, sauna, gym, diving room and generous tender storage.

Following successful sea trials, Horizon II is expected to be delivered to her owner later this summer, marking the official debut of Leapher Yachts in the global explorer yacht market.
