Lazzara Yachts Introduces 50m Flagship LMY 165

-

US-headquartered builder Lazzara Yachts has unveiled the LMY 165, a 50-metre flagship that represents the next evolution of its Lazzara Motor Yacht (LMY) series. Described by the yard as “bold and uncompromising,” the new model strengthens the brand’s position in the competitive 50-metre segment.

Constructed in steel and aluminium, the LMY 165 features a sculpted, elongated profile defined by expansive structural glazing. The design emphasises natural light and clean proportions, creating a contemporary exterior presence while maximising interior views.

Exterior Living Reimagined

A standout feature is the expansive aft beach club, which dominates the stern. Dual fold-out terraces extend the platform over the water, while a slender integrated pool enhances the connection to the sea, forming a relaxed waterfront lounge.

Additional exterior spaces include a generous bow lounge with fixed U-shaped seating and sunpads, as well as a partially covered sundeck complete with a forward-facing Jacuzzi — offering multiple social zones across the yacht’s decks.

Refined Interior for 12 Guests

Accommodation is arranged for up to 12 guests in a six-cabin layout. The full-beam master suite is complemented by five spacious guest cabins, all designed with a restrained and sophisticated material palette. Crew quarters provide space for nine across five cabins, supporting both private cruising and charter potential.

Integrated Engineering Innovation

The LMY 165 will incorporate a U.S.-patented sea chest system developed by George Chirakadze, president and CEO of Euro Marine Group, Lazzara’s parent company.

This system consolidates all seawater intake and discharge functions into a single structural component integrated directly into the hull. According to the yard, the approach enhances safety, simplifies maintenance and improves hydrodynamic efficiency.

Performance and Specifications

Power options include twin 1,400hp engines from MAN or Caterpillar, delivering a projected top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. The yacht measures 8.8 metres in beam with a draught of 2.3 metres, positioning it as a versatile platform for both Mediterranean and U.S. cruising grounds.

With the introduction of the LMY 165, Lazzara Yachts signals a clear step forward — combining contemporary design language, advanced engineering and lifestyle-driven deck spaces in a new flagship tailored to today’s global motor yacht market.
