IGY Ibiza Marina, managed by Ocean Capital Partners (OCP), Grupo Empresas Matutes, and Island Global Yachting (IGY), has completed the transformation of the iconic Martillo Building, unveiling a new commercial and lifestyle destination at the heart of Ibiza’s marina.
The redevelopment represents one of the marina’s most significant investments this season, converting the landmark waterfront building into a modern commercial space designed to enhance the experience for yacht owners, captains, crew, visitors and local residents alike.
The renovated building now features four new retail and service units, complemented by expansive glass façades overlooking the marina. According to IGY Ibiza Marina, the project forms part of a broader strategy to improve the marina’s facilities, strengthen its connection with the city and create a more vibrant waterfront environment.
The new commercial area is expected to expand the marina’s retail offering while contributing to the economic and social vitality of one of Ibiza Port’s most prominent locations.

High-Capacity Shore Power for Modern Superyachts
Alongside the redevelopment, IGY Ibiza Marina has also commissioned a new high-capacity electrical connection to meet the growing energy demands of today’s largest superyachts.
The upgraded shore power infrastructure enables yachts to connect directly to the local electricity grid while berthed, significantly reducing reliance on onboard generators. This initiative helps lower noise levels, improve air quality and reduce the environmental footprint of marina operations.
The investment reinforces the marina’s commitment to operational excellence and sustainability, complementing its internationally recognised certifications, including ISO 9001 for quality management, ISO 14001 for environmental management and ISO 50001 for energy management.
A Year-Round Lifestyle Destination
Beyond its world-class berthing facilities, IGY Ibiza Marina continues to strengthen its position as one of the island’s premier lifestyle destinations. During the season, the marina has hosted high-profile events such as Pasarela Adlib Ibiza and the Portside Festival, organised in collaboration with Chinois Ibiza, featuring internationally renowned artists including Luciano, Bedouin and Bruz.
