Damen Yachting has launched the third unit in its YS53 support yacht series from its Antalya, Turkey facilities. The 53.3-metre vessel will now undergo final outfitting and sea trials, with delivery scheduled for summer 2025.
Designed for Performance & Versatility
The YS53 series is built with durability, reliability, and exceptional seakeeping in mind. The yacht’s wave-slicing axe bow, forward-raking windows, and pronounced spray rails enhance navigation, visibility, and protection against saltwater exposure. Key specifications include:

- Volume: Under 500GT
- Top Speed: 19 knots
- Accommodation: Eight guests and 10 crew
Functional & Flexible Exterior Spaces
One of the standout features of the YS53 is its versatile aft platform, which can serve multiple purposes:
Events space for gatherings and entertainment
Scientific research platform
Capacious storage for tenders, toys, and equipment
Additionally, the yacht is equipped with a 15-tonne crane for tender and toy deployment, while a reinforced deck enables touch-and-go helicopter operations.

YS53 Series Gaining Momentum
“Today’s launch really reflects the fact that the YS53 is coming into its own as a series,” said Pim Oostra, Damen Yachting’s Project Manager for the build. “We are looking forward to the final build stages as we prepare everything ready for completion this summer.”
The latest YS53 joins Bad Company Support, owned by renowned sportfisherman Anthony Hsieh, and Five Oceans, currently for sale with Verpeka Dolling for €29,950,000.
As Damen Yachting continues to expand its fleet of support vessels, the YS53 series reinforces its reputation for combining exploration, adventure, and functionality in a robust, high-performance package.
