Italian shipyard Codecasa has officially launched its latest new build, Legacy 4, marking the first unit from the 57-metre model line (hull F81). The launch took place during a private ceremony at the Codecasa Ugo Shipyards in Viareggio. Construction began in December 2023, with the yacht featuring a steel hull and aluminium superstructure built to Lloyd’s Register classification.

Legacy 4’s exterior and interior were developed in collaboration with Italian designer Tommaso Spadolini, with a focus on creating a balance between privacy and social spaces. Accommodation includes an owner’s suite and five guest cabins, alongside a captain’s cabin and six twin cabins for crew, all connected via an elevator.
The yacht is powered by twin 2,375hp Caterpillar engines, capable of a maximum speed of 17 knots at light displacement, and offering a 5,000-nautical-mile range at 12 knots.

A statement from Codecasa praised the dedication of the yard’s team, subcontractors, advisors Yanova and Fraser, and the owning company, citing the launch as the result of careful planning and teamwork. Legacy 4 is the latest milestone in Codecasa’s production, with four yachts currently under construction, including the seventh unit of the Codecasa 43 line, scheduled for delivery in 2028.
