On 24 March 2026, the Yacht Club de Monaco will host the 30th edition of the Captains’ Forum, bringing together an influential international audience of superyacht captains, explorers, scientists and maritime experts.
Over three decades, the Captains’ Forum has established itself as a key strategic platform for dialogue within the global yachting community. The 2026 edition places a strong emphasis on the convergence of science, exploration and yachting, reflecting the sector’s evolving role in ocean research, environmental stewardship and responsible innovation.
A New Dynamic Format for a Changing Industry
A major highlight of this year’s Forum is the introduction of a Pecha Kucha presentation format, designed to encourage clarity, energy and impact. Speakers will deliver their insights through 20 slides shown for 20 seconds each, creating concise, fast-paced presentations that prioritise substance over form and stimulate focused discussion.
This approach aligns with the Forum’s objective: to foster meaningful exchanges that translate experience at sea into actionable ideas for the future of yachting.
Yachting at the Crossroads of Exploration and Innovation
Discussions will explore how yachts and their crews are increasingly contributing to scientific missions, exploration initiatives and data collection, while also addressing the responsibilities that come with operating in sensitive marine environments. Topics are expected to span technological innovation, collaboration with research institutions, and the growing role of captains as key stakeholders in sustainable ocean use.
By convening professionals who operate at the front line of yachting and exploration, the Captains’ Forum 2026 aims to look beyond trends and focus on long-term impact.
As the yachting industry navigates new expectations around sustainability, knowledge-sharing and purpose-driven navigation, the Captains’ Forum continues to position itself as a reference point for forward-thinking leadership within the sector.
