The Monaco Yacht Show has revealed the 15 finalists for the 2026 Blue Wake™ Awards, highlighting innovation, measurable environmental impact and a new generation of conscious luxury across the superyacht industry.
As the superyacht industry continues to place greater emphasis on sustainability, efficiency and responsible design, the Blue Wake™ Awards 2026 are putting the spotlight on companies and projects working to turn those ambitions into measurable results.
The finalists were announced on 28 August 2026, ahead of the Monaco Yacht Show, which will take place from 23–26 September 2026.
The 2026 programme attracted 71 applications, of which 60 projects were validated and accepted. From these, 15 finalists have been selected across five categories, each representing a different aspect of the move towards more responsible superyachting.
Five categories, 15 finalists
The finalists span everything from yacht interiors and marine technology to shipyard infrastructure, tenders and marina conservation.
Luxury Services & Products
Three companies have been shortlisted in the Luxury Services & Products category:
- Bespoke Projects – GreenCast recycled-monomer (R-MMA) cast acrylic for yacht interiors, furniture, joinery and special finishes.
- Heirlooms England – sustainable bed linens and textiles designed for yacht interiors.
- Marine Leather – responsibly sourced leather from an environmentally conscious supplier.
Nautical Supplier
The Nautical Supplier category focuses on technologies and materials capable of reducing environmental impact while improving onboard efficiency.
The finalists are:
- CMC Marine – energy recovery system.
- Tabu Spa – biodiversity veneer.
- Termodinamica – direct-expansion marine HVAC using inverter heat-pump technology.
Builder / Refit Shipyard
The shipyard category highlights three very different approaches to more sustainable yacht construction and operation.
Amico & Co. has been recognised for its sustainable superyacht refit infrastructure in Genoa, including 1 MW of photovoltaic capacity, full-dock shore power, energy-efficient permanent sheds, onsite wastewater treatment and a 25-category Eco-Island waste-recovery system.
Ares Yachts is nominated for its Simena cruising ketch, while Sunreef Yachts has been shortlisted for its Sunreef Solar Skin, a 33.77 kWp composite-integrated photovoltaic system installed on the Sunreef 80 Sailing Eco catamaran.
Tenders / Water Toys
The tenders and water toys category reflects the growing focus on lower-impact solutions beyond the mothership.
Finalists include:
- Evene Tenders – Evene Origin 57 and 71 tenders.
- Pascoe International – a fully electric superyacht limousine tender and optimised hull platform.
- Tykun – TYKUN X and TYKUN XII aluminium tenders, supported by a cradle-to-grave life-cycle assessment and an Environmental Product Declaration in preparation.
Yacht Service / Brokerage / Charter
The final category looks at sustainability initiatives within the wider yacht-service ecosystem.
The nominees are:
- ETYC – ETYC Digital Platform.
- Kongsberg Maritime – integrated energy-management and navigation advisory system.
- Marina Ibiza – Posidonia seagrass meadow restoration.
In addition, a Special Jury Prize will be awarded to a yacht selected by the jury.
A focus on measurable environmental impact
The Blue Wake™ Awards are not simply based on claims of sustainability.
The Water Revolution Foundation leads the selection process, assessing submissions across four environmental focus areas, with environmental claims supported by data and third-party verification.
An expert jury then evaluates the shortlisted projects against criteria designed to recognise efficiency, commitment and measurable environmental impact.
The 2026 jury brings together expertise from across the marine and luxury sectors, including Lucy Dunn, Content Director at Boat International Media; Dr. Vienna Eleuteri Held, Vice-President of Water Revolution Foundation; Toby Moore, CEO of Informa Prestige; Sara-Jane Skinner, Head of Partnerships at Blue Marine Foundation; naval architect Carlo Torre; and Tom von Bonsdorff, CEO of Baltic Yachts.
From sustainability to conscious luxury
One of the most interesting aspects of this year’s finalists is the breadth of solutions represented.
The nominees demonstrate that sustainability in yachting is no longer limited to propulsion systems or alternative fuels. It increasingly extends across the entire lifecycle of a yacht — from the materials used in its interiors and the energy consumed by onboard systems to shipyard infrastructure, tender technology and the restoration of marine ecosystems.
This broader approach is reflected in the Blue Wake™ concept itself: recognising environmental excellence alongside conscious luxury.
A trophy inspired by the ocean
The winners will receive a sculpture created by French artist Cyril Bagnost.
Inspired by the wake of a yacht and the organic shape of a whale’s fin, the trophy is intended to represent the relationship between luxury, responsibility and the marine environment.
The symbolism is particularly appropriate for an industry whose future depends on protecting the oceans in which its yachts operate.
Winners to be announced ahead of MYS 2026
The winners of the Blue Wake™ Awards will be announced during the week leading up to the Monaco Yacht Show, running from 23–26 September 2026.
Visitors to the show will have the opportunity to discover the nominated technologies, products and initiatives directly at their stands and learn more about the innovations being developed for a more responsible future in yachting.
With 15 finalists across five categories, the 2026 Blue Wake™ Awards offer a snapshot of where sustainable innovation is heading — and underline how environmental responsibility is increasingly becoming part of the definition of modern superyacht luxury.
