Benetti Sells First Motopanfilo 45M as In-Build Project with 2027 Delivery

Italian shipyard Benetti has confirmed the sale of the first unit from its Motopanfilo 45M yacht model, marking a significant milestone for the contemporary series. The 45-metre superyacht, which began construction on speculation in 2024, is scheduled for delivery in 2027.

The sale was completed in collaboration with brokerage houses Divo Yacht and Mare Port Digital, with the yacht secured by a private owner following an extended negotiation process and close coordination with the shipyard.

First unveiled at the Monaco Yacht Show in 2023, the Motopanfilo 45M was introduced as the flagship of Benetti’s Motopanfilo range. The model represents a contemporary reinterpretation of the shipyard’s historic Motopanfilo yachts, featuring bold, masculine exterior lines designed by British studio RWD.

One of the standout features of the Motopanfilo 45M is the debut of Benetti’s innovative “Veranda Deck” concept. This design opens the main deck saloon on three sides, transforming it into an open balcony overlooking the aft infinity pool and enhancing the connection between interior and exterior living spaces.

Interior details were revealed a year later, with design by Lazzarini Pickering Architetti, the same studio behind the smaller Motopanfilo 37M. The interiors are characterised by a light, contemporary aesthetic that incorporates natural materials such as wicker, rattan and bamboo, paired with light woods and a muted palette of cream, white and beige to complement the yacht’s modern wide-body layout.

“There’s something special about the first hull,” said Volga Diaugo of Divo Yacht. “It sets the tone for the entire series. We’re very pleased to have guided our client through this process and to see it successfully concluded.”

Yauheniya Kuzmitch of Mare Port Digital added: “Being involved in the sale of the very first hull feels personal, and we’re proud of the process and even more happy for the owner.”

According to the brokers, the yacht is expected to make her public debut during the Monaco Grand Prix in 2027. Benetti currently has 58 yachts on order or under construction, including its largest project to date, an 80-metre custom build known as Project Iron Man.
