Turkish shipyard Ares Yachts has revealed fresh renderings and details of its 54-metre explorer yacht concept, Atlas, a design created for adventurous owners seeking both luxury and endurance.

The project brings together some of the industry’s most innovative minds: Hot Lab for the exterior styling and Van Oossanen for the naval architecture, which includes a Fast Displacement Hull Form (FDHF). With sharp, angular lines, sweeping glass surfaces and a high bow designed for challenging sea conditions, Atlas cuts a striking, expedition-ready profile while remaining under the 500GT threshold.

Distinctive Bow Design and Private Retreat

One of Atlas’ most distinctive features is her mezzanine foredeck structure, which replaces the conventional bow layout. Split into multiple levels, the space forms a private outdoor retreat directly accessible from the owner’s suite. Complete with a spa pool and terrace, it allows the owner to enjoy a swim or morning coffee with uninterrupted ocean views.

Spacious Living for Guests and Crew

In addition to the full-beam owner’s suite, Atlas offers four generous guest cabins with direct access to the beach club thanks to the forward placement of the engine room. A dedicated crew of nine is accommodated across five cabins to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Resort-Style Outdoor Spaces

Atlas is designed for both adventure and leisure. Expansive decks provide versatile lounging and dining options, including an infinity pool with panoramic sea views. The beach club extends the social atmosphere with fold-down terraces, a cocktail bar, sunbeds and lounge seating, creating a resort-like environment at the water’s edge.

“Every space is crafted to elevate the yachting lifestyle,” explained Antonio Romano, Commercial and Marketing Director of the Viken Group and co-founder of Hot Lab. “Whether hosting an elegant dinner under the stars or launching into an adrenaline-fuelled water adventure, Atlas is designed for it all.”

Expedition-Ready Features

True to her explorer spirit, Atlas is equipped with a spacious tender garage featuring a side-launch system for large tenders, as well as storage for an extensive toy collection including jet skis, seabobs, paddleboards, diving gear, e-foils and even submersibles. Her design also incorporates helipad capability, extending her off-grid potential.

With an expected top speed of 16 knots and a range of nearly 5,000 nautical miles, Atlas offers genuine go-anywhere capability. Options for hybrid propulsion and solar integration underline her eco-conscious design philosophy.

Ares Yachts’ Expanding Portfolio

“Intelligent design features are found on every deck – from her transformable stern to her multi-tiered terraces,” said Piraye Şahinkaya Orhun, Managing Director at Ares Yachts. “Our talented shipyard team are looking forward to making these into a reality in steel and aluminium.”

Atlas joins a growing line-up from Ares Yachts, which recently unveiled interiors for its 50.6-metre Spitfire with Bannenberg & Rowell, while its 62-metre flagship Simena is on track for delivery in March 2026.
