AB Yachts, the performance-driven brand under the Next Yacht Group banner, has unveiled the AB 110S—a striking 33.7-metre yacht that redefines the yard’s signature style with fresh automotive influences and bold design language.
A refined evolution of the original AB 110, this latest model introduces a sportier attitude and marks a notable first collaboration with automotive design studio EXE Design, known for its innovative cross-sector styling.
“We also boast over 20 years of experience in naval architecture,” says Stefano Bedoni of EXE Design. “This cross-sector approach is the real added value of our work. It’s from this dual competency that a harmonious yacht emerges.”
Design Meets Performance
From the first renderings, the AB 110S reveals itself as a powerful and athletic machine. Sporting a raked-back windshield, a lightweight, narrow profile, and a series of retractable design features, the vessel channels high-performance aesthetics with refined luxury.
The yacht features two main decks plus a flybridge, and a 6.8-metre beam, with the exterior characterized by sleek, automotive-inspired geometry and functional elegance. Three standout elements of retractable tech underscore its contemporary spirit:
- A sliding slat cockpit cover system, expanding shaded areas when needed
- A retractable sunroof between the helm and saloon, paired with a transparent companionway for natural light
- A signature retractable hardtop, which can shade either the sunpad or helm station
Liveability and Layout
Beyond the performance cues, the AB 110S was conceived for onboard comfort and seamless indoor-outdoor flow. The main deck cockpit combines a sunbathing zone with a clever bar unit that serves both the saloon and exterior lounge—merging visual continuity with social practicality.
Up front, the “flying couch” is a signature moment in the yacht’s design—a raised, wraparound sofa at the bow offering unobstructed panoramic views of the sea, redefining foredeck living.
Accommodation & Power
The lower deck layout includes accommodation for up to 10 guests across four cabins, designed for both elegance and comfort. Noise and vibration reduction are prioritized through full engine room soundproofing, ensuring a tranquil onboard experience—even at high speeds.
And speed is where the AB 110S truly shines.
Equipped with three MAN V12X-2200 engines, the yacht can reach a blistering top speed of 48 knots, maintaining AB Yachts’ legacy as a performance powerhouse in the superyacht space.
What’s Next for AB Yachts?
The AB 110S is part of a growing fleet. Nine yachts are currently under construction or on order, including two builds from the high-performance AB 130 series. The first in that series, M/Y Effe, was delivered in May this year, further solidifying AB Yachts’ momentum.
