90m Feadship Superyacht Project 828 Milky Way Begins Sea Trials

-

Dutch superyacht builder Feadship has reached another major milestone with the 89.6-metre Project 828, also known as Milky Way, as the highly anticipated custom yacht has been spotted undertaking sea trials following her recent launch in the Netherlands.

Built at Royal Van Lent Shipyard in Amsterdam, Milky Way was developed for a private owner seeking a highly flexible onboard environment that seamlessly combines active living with luxury relaxation.

Her striking exterior, designed by Studio De Voogt, features a bold vertical bow, clean architectural lines and expanded aft volumes, creating generous outdoor living spaces. A standout feature is the impressive 16.7-metre swimming pool on the main deck, designed as the yacht’s central social hub.

The interiors have been created by renowned British design studio RWD, delivering elegant, flowing spaces that maximize comfort, natural movement and a refined onboard experience.

Project 828 boasts a 2,623GT steel displacement hull, a 13.6-metre beam, and naval architecture by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects. While many details remain confidential, the yacht reflects Feadship’s commitment to fully custom craftsmanship and cutting-edge design.

The start of sea trials marks another important step toward delivery as Feadship continues one of its busiest construction periods, with 17 superyacht projects currently underway across its Dutch facilities.
